M Corry a number of citizens were invited to the Second Ward Vard Chapel to listen to an program on the recently installed Kilgen pipe organ b by Prof representative of the company and who supervised ed the installation and E. E F F. F Oborn of the B. B A. A C. C faculty Prof Pull ham played several choice selections and also demonstrated demonstrated demon demon- the range of tone of the organ the flexibility with which changes in the selections could be handled The music from the remarkable instrument was very appealing and thrilling and made one have the feeling that it was divine Prof Oborn played two classical selections that were excellent I and pleased the invited guests very much Mr before performing stated that the organ had been made exclusively for the Second Ward Chapel as had also the pipe chamber and could not be used in any ny other chapel unless un un- less leaR by a it would be an exact duplication of the Second Ward Chapel He stated that the very best workmanship and materials had been p put t into it by the most skilled workmen in the world and he was emphatic in his statement that it was as fine an instrument as was ever made although not so large as some Bp p. p Corry informs us that under the direction of the Se Second ond Ward bishopric a concert is to be e put on on about June 15 and a de program of choruses quartets duets and solos will be given by Cedar City's choicest and most artistic singers under the direction of Prof W. W H. H Manning The people can rest assured that the program to be given at which the organ will be used will be we well II worth the price to be asked and none should fail to attend it |
