in military organizations and yet vet we cannot but regret the tact fact that he has thought it best to appoint west point youths of the caucasian race over the heads of negro nearo sergeants and other negro heroes of the santiago c campaign ampa ign to commands iu the respective regiments in which the latter have so long r and so acceptably served be it resolved that the membership of this association and their visiting friends are under obligation to the citi citizens zeus of omaha for or their generous reception and treatment extended to us on this occasion of the associations association third annual convention resolved that this association hereby expresses its gratification and delight adelight at the m magnificent achievements of the afro american soldiery of the united
