C campus but due to the rain the gymnasium was turned 1 into a barracks and all the scouts 1 housed there to Insure their comfort while in Cedar Each of the six districts Beaver Deaver Cedar Cedar Ce Ce- dar St St. George Hurricane Kanab and Moapa are all well represented with scouts from Fredonia Ariz Rock Springdale Virgin Kanab Hur Hurricane Hurl St St. George GeorKe Harmony Cedar Parowan Beaver Milford Min Min- in Utah and Overton Bunkerville Bunkerville Bunker- Bunker ville Mesquite and Logan Dale Nev here to compete I This morning most of the time was spent in regular routine practice forthe forthe for tor the meet and in some e elimination contests contests con con- tests where the entry lists lilts was as so large as to require tryouts Following this as the last event o othe of the mornings morning's program was the annual annual parade with all boy scouts and officials at the meet participating Friday night the campfire program that was scheduled for the campus was held in the school auditorium The hall was filled with enthusiastic scouts who enjoyed a program of singing am and stunts by different troops A feature of this meeting was a rousing talk delivered delivered delivered de de- livered by Oscar Kirkham Associate Regional Regional Executive of Region 12 which covers the western states This afternoon will be devoted to contests and this evening evenin g a public meeting and court of honor hono I will be held at the tabernacle |
