Show THE PLAY IS GOOD-SEE GOOD-SEE II ion A good sited crowd witnessed the first performance of "Dcllevo Me Xantlppe" in the now gymnasium Thursday night under the auspices of the Library Board, the matinee for the children In tho afternoon was very well attended. The play waa well received by the audience, and the players', chosen from tho four wards, received hearty applause. Tho leading ledy, Miss Ruth Chlpmaa as Dolly Kamm'an and the leading man, Clarence Grant, as Geo. McFarland, alias McQInnls, pre. seatedithelr roles In splendid manner and were well supported by the ro. malnlng members of tho cast, Martin Nielsen, Norman Wing, Mclvln Mad. sen, Karl Bennett, Jesse Klrkham, Jas. The play la botng presented again this evening In tho gymnasium, and all who faded to see It Thursday, should go tonight. The cause Is worthythe wor-thythe proceeds to be used for purchasing now books and equip, ment for tho library, nnd for tho prlco, you will never get more clean and wholesome entertainment. The house should bo packed tonight The official opening of the library has been postponed, duo to the fact that the. Board could not secure n suitable night because of so many political rallies being hold. The date on which It will bo held has not been definitely decided, but tt was thought that It would not be until after election. The books have all been moved and placed on tho shelves,' and the building Is now In readiness for the royal opening. |
