Show LOCAL OLD FOLKS ANNUAL OUTING The annual summer outing of tho Old Folks of this city was hold In tho Fourth ward grovo Friday. J All persons over 60 years of age were Invited, and a large crowd assembled as-sembled at the Grove between 10 ond 12 o'clock. At noon, tho committee served one of their famous dinners frow. Fach guest was only requlrod to bring their own dishes this year, the committee furnishing the eats. On other occasions, of this kind the guests were requested to bring their own lunches. Tho following delightful program was propared for tho afternoon, commencing com-mencing at 2 o'clock, with Chnlrman John Hunter in charge.: Solo, Mrs. C. B. Young; reading, Nina Halllday; duet, Ora Chlpman and Marloy Steele; reading, Mono. Hlndley; violin solo, Florence Prl-dny; Prl-dny; song specialties Detta M. Taylor, Tay-lor, Mary Wild, Florence Prlday and Clarence Grant; reading Ruth Chip-mon. Chip-mon. The program was interspersod with speoches by tho visitors and was held in the cool and shady grovo near tho ihapol. |
