Show DAY PASSED VERY QUIETLY Pioneer Day passed very quietly In tn Cedar and although there were a large number of citizens went to the canyons and mountains there were enough left at home to make a show inc ing and nd they enjoyed the pro program am g given V 1 in the tabernacle in the morning as al 11 did those of CO GO years of age at the entertainment given in their honor by bythe bythe bythe the Daughters of the Pioneers in the afternoon in the same building There were over old people and especIally especially especially invited guests at the afternoon entertainment The ladies ladles having the affair in charge had prepared delicious delicious delicious deli deli- cious lap luncheon with cantaloupe und and ice cream as dessert and each guest did full justice to the delectable viands During the afternoon the children were made happy at the B. B A. A C. C campus campus cam cam- pus where a large number of sports were held prizes being given elven to the winners of each event In the enl e evening g at the Fair grounds the well advertised wrestling match and boxing bouts were given and at attended attended at at- tended by the fans of Cedar as well as quite a number from adjoining towns and cities The baseball game scheduled between between be be- tween Las Vegas and Cedar nines did not materialize as the Las Vegas boys bos were unable to get here The dance given at Danceland for forthe forthe forthe the children at 6 o'clock p. p m. m was enjoyed by scores of children while the dance ance at the same place for the older people was well attended and enjoyable Taking it all aU in all Cedar passed a avery avery very quiet yet pleasant Pioneer Day in 1924 |
