Show Local Club Members Attend fVlanti Fete Gunnison's Business and Professional Profession-al Womens club was represented at an elaborate social dinner party at Manti Saturday evening, tendered by the Manti club members. The sffair was known as a "relations" dinner, end was one of the features outlined by1 the national organization in the observance of National Business Womens Wo-mens Club Week, ending Saturday. Those attending from Gunnison were Miss Erma Ludeberg, president of the local club, Mrs. Howard Norman, Mrs. Lyda B. Duggins and Miss Jeanette Rudellatt. The local contingent are high in their praise of the dinner and the royal entertainment furnished by the Manti club. The "relations" dinner was served at) the Manti high school building at seven-thirty and some seventy-five were seated about the tables, gorgeously gor-geously decorated in St. Patrick's day colors. During the dinner and following, follow-ing, a splendid and appropriate program pro-gram was given. Miss Rudellatt, of the Gunnison club, gave a reading ad won the applause of the assemblage. Other numbers, songs and brief ad-1 dresses were given by members of the various clubs at the gathering. Mrs. Fry's talk was on "Why I Joined the Club, What the Club Has Dons For Me, and My Ob!iaion to tV Club." Her address was masterly and some strong points were brought out that has resulted in the ever-erowing membership in the local, state and national clubs. The speaker lauded t,he county clubs for the increasing interest and predicted great things for Sanpete conntv. which will result from the activities of the Business and Professional Womens clubs. |
