Show County Officers Are Sworn In Monday Inauguration of Sanpete county officers, of-ficers, elected by the masses at the November election, proved an eventful event-ful day at Manti Monday, when the entire group was sworn in by Judge Dilworth Woolley. The ceremonies attendant at-tendant to the inaugural exercises took place at high noon, and in the presence of a few spectators, who had gathered to witness the event. Following the fixing of the bonds for the several officers, all of which were approved and accepted, an informal in-formal meeting followed, and greet- mgs ior a Derter new year ana congratulations con-gratulations for the successful candidates can-didates were "passed out." Junius Metcalf, who completed a 4-year successful term as chairman of the board of county commissioners, and who was elected at the November election for a two-year term, was again honored by being elected by Commissioners Gunderson and Cook, associates on the board, as chairman chair-man for the coming two years. Mr. Metcalf has taken a deep interest in the work as a commissioner and his efforts, along with those of his associates, as-sociates, have been to upbuild Sanpete county and make it attractive. Roads have been the primary work during the past few years and the county has been mighty fortunate in having so able a body of men to put over the many big projects. |
