Due to ill health, James Bown, the well known stockman, stock-man, declined to serve further, and Elmer Bartholomew of Fayette, was elected to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. Bown. The meeting was well attended, most of the stock being represented either by person or by proxy. President, secre- j tary, treasurer and other officers will be named by the directors at the next regular meeting. Reports from the president, secretary secre-tary and treasurer were made ' at Monday's session and proved gratifying gratify-ing to the stockholders. Plans, too, were briefly outlined for improvement work on the company's possessions, j Among the important issues to be carried out will be the installation of division gates for each individual water user. The watermaster, it was stated, will have supervision of all gates, carrying a key to each, thus avoiding any trouble that might come from "snitching" water out of turn. |
