Show STEPHEN SHELLEY. 2. BURIED SUNDAY Funeral services were held at the Third ward chapel Sunday afternoon for Stephen Shelley, Sr, who died hero Inst Thursday. Ulshop John II. lllndley was In chnrge; the word choir furnished the musical numbers "Oh Sly Father" was tho opening Bong. Prayer was then offered by Ulshop Jos. II. Storrs. Tho second Bong was "My Father Knows." Mrs. M K. Abel read a brief sketch or tho life of Mr Shelley after which the following speakers eulogized his good works: nil .1. Clayson, James II. Clnrko and Wm. S ltoblnson. Speclnl musical numbers were rendered ren-dered by Mrs. Clifford K. Young, "I Know That .My Redeemer Lives" and Mrs. Luther (llddlngs "Unanswered Yet." After tho closing Ming by tho choir, "I .Need Thee Every Hour," Ed. ward Abel offered the benediction. The chapel was tilled to capacity with friends nnd mourners A host of bcnutlful (lowers depleted tho loo nnd respect In which tho deceased was held. Sl nephews of Mr. Shelley acted ns pall bearers. They were: Elmer nnd Sam Hates. lMwnrd nnd Milton Shelley, nnd Thomas and Donald Don-ald nnrratt. At tho cemetery where the body wan Interred I'res. James II. Clarke dcdl-roted dcdl-roted tho grave.
