Show CENTERFIELD . NEWS ITEMS Saturday was "Boy Scout Day" in Centerfield, and $29.50 was taken in by the boys in their arrests during the day. The scouts celebrated their birthday anniversary Wednesday evening. eve-ning. Two one-act plays were presented, pre-sented, two songs were dramatized and special numbers made the pro- gram interesting. Twenty-seven boys; were registered and received badges, I 13 being second-class and 14 tender- J foots. The housa was beautifully decorated dec-orated in red, white and blue. A large crowd enjoyed the games and lovely refreshments that topped off the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lay and daughter Ruth, of Magna, visited at the home of Mrs. Lay's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Christensen, for a week, returning to their home Friday. Miss Emma Christensen of Salt Lake City, visited at the A. S. Jan-sen Jan-sen and James Peterson homes, at Axt?ll and Centerfield, respectively, Saturday and Sunday forenoon. The "Father's, Mothers, Sons and Daughters" party, sponsored by the adult class of the M. I. A., was a huge success Tuesday evening. A one-act one-act play and the orchestra from the Gunnison high school, helped very much in entertaining the large crowd. Games and dancing, ending with a dainty tray luncheon, made the affair a complete one. G. W. Sorenson came to work Friday Fri-day morning all smiles but no wonder. won-der. The stork left a nice . big baby boy at his home, and it baing the second sec-ond child and only boy, he will expect him to help "daddy" sell cars before long. The "Lark" class in primary, enjoyed en-joyed a nice party Saturday at the home of their teacher. Mrs. Violet Rasmussen. Arnold Amtoft and family, left their Centerfield home Tuesday. The Amtofts will make their home at Ax-tell. Ax-tell. The Parent - Teacher association held its meeting and social Monday evening at 8 o'clock. Ray P. Lund of Manti, and Mrs. Niels Hemiansen of Gunnison, were the speakers. Dainty refreshments were served. |
