Show Truck, Auto Crash; Clarion Woman Hurt As a result of a head-on collision between a touring car and a heavily loaded truck, Saturday morning about ' 11 a. m. in Salina canyon, Mrs. A. H. Lund, well known matron of Clarion,' is at a hospital at Salt Lake receiving treatment for a broken knee cap and other injuries. Mrs. Lund, after being taken to the Salina hospital, was ad-1 vised to go to Salt Lake, there to con-! .suit a specialist. The knee cap, it was stated, was broken in three places, and is regarded as serious. i j Mrs. Lund, accompanied by her husband, hus-band, A. H. Lund, and their daughter, Mrs. Vearl DeMills, were enroute to 'Emery county Saturday morning to ! attend a reunion. Mrs. DeMills was driving the car, and when near a ! sharp curve above what is known as the Simpers ranch, Mrs. DeMills stopped stop-ped her car as a safety measure. At this juncture a truck, driven by a man giving his name as Jensen, and his home at Ephraim, swung around the curve at a . good stiff speed and crashed into the Lund car. The impact threw Mrs. Lund forward, forcing her head through the windshield, and injuring in-juring her knee. Fortunately, she was not badly cut by the glass. Mr. Lund, riding in the back seat, and Mrs. De-Mills, De-Mills, driver of the car, escaped with minor bruises and scratches. Both the truck and touring car . were badly damaged. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Lund, who were also enroute to the reunion, were following closely behind the ill-fated car, and the injured woman was transferred and hurried to the hospital. hos-pital.
