Show LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Mr. and Mrs. Mark Duggins left j hurriedly Monday for Salt Lake, hay-1 ing been called to the city on account of the illness of Mrs. VanGrundy, mother mo-ther to Mrs. Duggins. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Madsen, who spent a ten-day vacation here as the I guests of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Mad-sen, Mad-sen, returned to their home at Bancroft, Ban-croft, Idaho, Tuesday. Max Edwards and Claire Tolles-trup, Tolles-trup, formerj Gunnison boys, but who have been residing at San Francisco came in from the coast Saturday. They will be here for a week or ten days visiting with relatives and friends. Mrs. Albert Rosenlund and son, Bert, came in from McGill, Nevada, the first of the week. They will spend the Fourth of July celebrating in Gunnison. Dr. P. L. Jones, prominent dentist of Nephi, and George Harris, representing repre-senting the J. I. Case company, were business visitors to Gun::ison Tuesday Tues-day afternoon. Miss Virginia Bardsley, daughter t -,f Mr. and Mrs. John Bardsley, and who spent the past week at the home of her parents in Centerfield, re-j re-j turned to Salt Lake Monday, bein;r j accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Bardsley, Bard-sley, her parents. Chas. P. Peterson. Miss Imelda Peterson, Pe-terson, Byron Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Johnson left for Lyman, Wyoming Wednesday morning. They will be absent until Sunday and will be the guests of Mr and Mrs. L. D. i Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Olsen left for Salt Lake Friday of last week. They will be absent for ten days and will send Independence day at the capitol city. Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Jensen and Miss Rosalind Jensen of Salt Lake, spent Monday and Tuesday here visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Niel Sorenson. Mrs. Caroline Rees, Mrs. V. A. Olsen Ol-sen of Salt Lake and Mrs. P. Peterson Peter-son and Mr. and Mrs. George Mayhew, of Ephraim, were Sunday dinner g-uests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Blixt. j Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Hughes and j Harold and Boris Hughes, of Salt I Lake, were Saturday and Sunda ' guests at the home of Chas. C. Niel-I Niel-I son at Centerfield. Whittenburg, agriculturist, for 'the Gunnison Sugar company, and Mrs. Sanders, were visitors to the county seat Tuesday. Messrs. Sanders and Whittenburg met with the county ' commissioners relative to road mat-' mat-' tors ! El. J. Linne and Don E. Pence of : Sr.n Fernando. California, came m ' from their coast home Tuesday evening eve-ning and are the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Baxter. The visitors vis-itors will remain until Monday and before returning will make a trip to . Fishlake and take a "crack" at the 1 speckeled beauties. |
