Show iMayfeld Staging Big Ward Festival Mayfield, starting today and continuing con-tinuing until Saturday, is staging the Mayfield Ward Fall Festival, and is offering three days and nights of real spicy entertainment and oceans of fun. This, Thursday, evening the Sunday Sun-day school is sponsoring a play, entitled en-titled "Go Slow, Mary," and is under the direction of Mabel Willardson. The following cast will appear in the play: Billie Abbey, Josephine Willardson; Willard-son; Mary Abbey, Anna Larson; Harry Har-ry Stevens, Ivan Hansen; Sally Carter, Car-ter, Laura Christiansen; Bert Childs, Lloyd Whitlock; Mrs. Berdom, Ethel Swallow; Dolly Berdom, Goldie Mor-tenson; Mor-tenson; Bobbie Berdom, Morris Whitlock; Whit-lock; Katie, the Cook, Clara Bogh; Danny, the Iceman, Marinus Thompson; Thomp-son; Murphy, the Cop, Charles Felt. Starting Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock, the Boy Scouts of Mayfield Will stage a real wildwest rodeo, and some experts will be seen in this number. num-ber. At 2:30 baseball fans will be offered of-fered fine sport when the Mayfield "bus" boys will tangle with a picked team from Centerfield and Axtell. Immediately after the ball game, some classv horse raeine- will he seen. ! Friday's festivities; will close with a big dancing party, with music fur- nished by the Footwarmers orchestra. Saturday, the final day of the festival, fes-tival, will see many activities. Starting Start-ing at 10 o'clock in the morning there will be a horse-pulling contest between be-tween some of the best teams in the neighborhood. At 12 o'clock a rodeo, featuring some of the best "bucka-roos" "bucka-roos" in the county, will take place. At 2 o'clock the Mayfield and Manti ball teams will cross bats at the new park. Saturday evening, under the sponsorship' spon-sorship' of the M. I. A., a variety program pro-gram will be given, and will include the following numbers: "Hobo Show," consisting of jokes, vocal solos, instrumental in-strumental numbers and quartet selections. se-lections. Characters tin lithe 'rhobo" show will be Elmer Poulsen, Lloyd Christiansen, Marinus Thompson, Joseph Jo-seph Willardson, Earl Poulsen, Burton Bur-ton Peterson, Lester Hansen, John Larson, Merrill Whitlock and J. A. Christiansen. Other numbers on the program are: Reading, Anna Anderson; Ander-son; solo, LaRay Jacobsen; trio selection selec-tion with three in each part, Mabel Willardson, Ruby Bunderson, Clara Bogh, Ethel Swallow, Zelda Whitlock, Myrl Willardson, Emaline Bailey and Katie Larson. Feature dancing, under the direction direc-tion of Mrs. Kenneth Whitlock, will be given by Sena Larson, Goldie Mor-tenson, Mor-tenson, Vera Poulsen, Edith Whitlock, Marjorie Christensen, Donna Scow, Afton Bartholomew and Kathryn Willardson.
