Show Thirty-Four Enlist For Kindergarten Thirty-four little pupils, just entering enter-ing the real walks of an education answered the call of the school bell Monday morning and the formal opening op-ening of the six weeks' kindergarten 1 school was officially started. The ' classes, while not as large as they were last season, the initial year in : kindergarten work in Gunnison, pro-! pro-! ved highly encouraging and it is be-1 be-1 lieved that by the first of the coming week sufficient pupils will be enrolled enrol-led to bring the number near to the J.927 registration, A visit to the school Tuesday, gave the writer a deep impression of the work that is being done and every indication in-dication pointed to a successful term. Under the supervision of Miss Irene Ehrich, the competent instructor, the little students were busily engaged in their regular work and were a happy hap-py and contented group. Two sessions are held daily, the morning session being devoted to the younger pupils, with the study and play hours between nine to eleven thirty. The advanced students, eligible eli-gible for entrance to the primary grades with the opening fall term of school, are instructed in their work between the hours of one and three-thirty three-thirty during the afternoon. An abundant ab-undant supply of the various mater- i ials for the work has been provided and splendid advancement is now being be-ing made. Last year, at which time thirty-four thirty-four students were registered, Gunnison Gun-nison experienced a highly successful term and parents and citizens were gpeatly e,late,d oyec the kindergarten schopl.
