Show former Resident Found Dead In Bed Details of the death of E. Y. Sanders, San-ders, a native of Gunnison, at Doris, Oregon, April 10, have been received by relatives in this city. Mr. Sanders, familiar to all his acquaintances as Edmond, was found dead in his bed by a fellow worker. The previous day the unfortunate man had ridden the sheep range, and when retiring was apparently in good health. When his companion attempted to awaken him the following morning, it was found that he was dead. Heart trouble, from which Mr. Sanders had suffered, was given as the cause of death. Edmond Sanders was born at Gunnison, Gun-nison, June 13, 1879, and he resided here until he left for the northwest in 1905. He was the son of Edmond Sanders and Jane Gribble Sanders, now. deceased. .Following a course at the public schools in Gunnison, he went to Provo and specialized in a business course. After going to Washington Wash-ington 'Mr. Sanders became interested interest-ed with his brothers in the sheep business and had achieved success, not only as a flockmaster, but in business and civic circles. He was a trustee of the Ellensburg Golf and Country, club, and active in farm cooperative co-operative work for the chamber of commerce. Associated with him in the sheep business were two brothers, D. B. Sanders, formerly of Gunnison, and Leroy Sanders, widely known coast publisher, and directing head of the ScrippsrCanfield papers of the Pacific coast. 1 Surviving Mr. Sanders are two sis-ers, sis-ers, Minnie and Mary Sanders of Seattle, Wash., five brothers and three half-brothers: Roy, Arnold and Leonard Sanders of Seattle, Wash., D. B. Sanders of Ellensburg, Wash., Golden Sanders, New York, Lyman Sanders, Salt Lake City, Burdette Sanders, with the marines, and Kenneth Ken-neth Sanders of Tacoma, Wash. |
