A. If. Snow, Chairman County Central Committee, called Convention Conven-tion to order. Explained object. Geo. R. Chase was chosen temporary tem-porary Chairman ; II. L. Steed, Secretary. Chairman appointed following committee on credential?: Olof Jeppson, Fred Holton, D. C. Hubbard. Hub-bard. The followingcommitteo on order of business and resolutions appointed ap-pointed by Chair: J. I). Peters, D. A. Sanders, J. B. McMaster, E. R. Chase and W. H. Anderson. Committee reports accepted. Permanent organization: J. B. McMaster, Chairman; R. E. Davis, Vice Chairman; E. 0. Wilcox, Secretary. 1 he nominations tor County Superintendant of Schools then took place. Angus Vance, Brig-ham, Brig-ham, and J. J. Chandler, Willard, were the nominees. The first ballot showed 34 for Air. Vance and 16 for Mr. Chandler. ANGUS VANCE was then unnni-mousl' unnni-mousl' chosen the Democratic nominee for County Supterintened- i ent of Schools. D. C. HUBBARD was then nominated by acclamation for Representative Rep-resentative from Box Elder County. The following delegates to the Council Convention to be held at the Hot Springs today were chosen: J. D. Peters, Fred Holton, R. E. Davis, D. C. Hubbard, E. R. Chase. R. H. Baty, E. P. Johnson. A. H. Gleason, S. A. White, Jonah Mathins, N. P. Jeppson. Alternates, M. L. Snow, J. J. Chandler, Rasmus Ras-mus Larsen. The County Central Committee was re-elected for one year. The following resolution was presented by Mr. Peters and adopted adopt-ed with a choer: Resolved that we heartily appro vo the untiring zeal and vigilance shown by our delegate, dele-gate, Jos. L. Rawlins, in all matters pertaining to our Territory, and especially do we commend his energy in pushing the Utah admission, admis-sion, bill and his able and active defense of silver.
