Roylance, of Centerfield, has accepted a position with the Gunnison Valley bank, starting on his duties the first of this week. F. A. Beck, who accompanied his ' wife to Salt Lake last week, returned to his home Sunday and has resumed his duties as assistant cashier at the ' Gunnison Valley bank. Mrs. T. M. Kearna was hostess to the members of the Bonne Foi club yesterday afternoon. Th usual social time was enjoyed and this was fol- j lowed by delicious refreshments served by the hostess. Mrs. J. A. Hagan and Mrs. August Villard, accompanied by Tom Mad-sen, Mad-sen, motored to Mt. Pleasant last Sunday and spent the day visiting with Miss Helen Hagan and Miss Betty Villard. The two latter are attending at-tending the Wasatch academy. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Madsen, of this city, and Mrs. E. A. Christensen, who is here from Jerome, Idaho, motored to Elsinore Sunday and were the guests of relatives for the day. Jack Campbell, representing the Capital Electric company, Salt Lake was here Tuesday in the interests of his company. William Shea of Marysvale, spent a portion of Monday in this city as the guest of Patrick Henry of the Gunnison Drug Co. O. G. Sorenson, with the forces at the Gunnison Sugar factory, made a hurried trip to Salt Lake Saturday. He went in Saturday, carrying with him the beet statements, and returned Sunday afternoon. ( C. O. Stott, county farm agent, was here from Manti yesterday. Mr. stott met with a number of the citizens cit-izens in conference relative to landscaping land-scaping the city park. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Overfelt went to Mt. Pleasant Sunday and visited with their daughters, Misses Lois and Helen, Hel-en, students at the Wasatch academy. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Nielson, of Salina, were Gunnison visitors last Sunday. McCalren Peterson, manager for the Peterson Meat & Grocery company, com-pany, returned from a hurried business busi-ness visit to Salt Lake Tuesday evening. eve-ning. Mrs. Julius Duggins was hostess to a number of friends at a Mah Jongg party Monday evening of this week. Eight guests were present and following fol-lowing the play delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mrs. Maria Nelson, and son Leo Nelson, who have been absent at San Francisco for the past year, have returned re-turned to Centerfield. They expect to remain here indefinitely. Earl Seely a prominent stockman of Mount Pleasant has been spending spend-ing several days here looking after business matters. While here Mr. Seely also spent some time hunting ducks. John Locke, the Mount Pleasant Ford agent, spent several days here this week in a business capacity. |
