Show CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOR I TO CONVENE AT PROVO The thirty-first annual convention of Utah State Christian Endeavor will be held in Provo, October 24, 25 and 26, according to the Rev. A. V. Board of Mount Pleasant, who is Utah's state president of the Christian Christ-ian Endeavor Union. "We are going tohave a great convention," con-vention," said Mr. Boand, "for we have a splendid line-up of speakers on our program, including Dr. Paul G. Stevens of Los Angeles, Dr. W. M. Irwin of Denver and Harry Githens of Quincy, Illinois. Then, too, the fact that the Utah Educational Association Asso-ciation convenes in Salt Lake the same week-end guarantees us a big! crowd of young people, as they shall not have to miss any school in order to attend." A large delegation of local Endeavor Endeav-or enthusiasts expect to attend the Provo convention. They will be entertained en-tertained on the Harvard plan of lodging and breakfast furnished free, os that the expense of the convention will not be great. "There are forty million Christian Endeavorers in the world," concluded Mr. Boand, "so we are a part of no mean organization. In the United States alone we have over 500,000 Endeavorers who will be casting their ballots in a national election for the first time, and about two million and a half of our number will vote. So in training our young people for Christian citizenship we are aiding the ration as wel as the church." |
