The election in Boxehler County this year was an interesting one. Over t,4U0 votes were cast. The Democrats carry everything except one Delegate lo the Constitutional Convention, one Selectman and Coroner. The latter is still in doubt. The third ticket drew very few votes outside of llrighani, where it averaged about ten. Much to the surprise of every one,. Bi iglniui went Democratic, electing Constable 8. F. Thompson by 41 majority over Peter Nelson, their vote being 229 and 18S. Justice Ci. R. Chase and Ephraiin Wight, both Democrats, were elected by majorities of five and ten respectively over Wm. Horsley and J. V. Merrill. Chase received 210; Wight 215; Horsley 205; ami Merrill 205. With the exception of the estimated estima-ted Junction precinct vote. the above table is absolutely correct, nearly all the figures coming direct from the judges of election. The returns show a great deal of scratching was done and sectionalism section-alism seemed to reign supreme in several prcciiiLts. Had Brigham City taken the sectional course followed fol-lowed out by some of the precincts she could have knocked out every opposing outside mm on both tickets. Those precincts are establishing estab-lishing a dangerous pi cedent. The fol lowing gentlemen will be our county o Ulcers for 1ND5; NKW COl' XT Y Ol-TlCEKtf: ci.kuk: Oleen N. Stohl, Brigham City. The following is the vote in Poxclder County in 1892 for Delegates Del-egates to Congress. Allen represented repre-sented the Liberal party. It is estimated esti-mated that nearly all of Allen's 130 votes went for Cannon this year. This big gain for Cannon would have given him tlie county, had not Uawlins also made some gains. rucriNi-rs. 5 g 3 Boxelder K' IS" 5 IVar Hi ver 22 5 Collinslon 2 10 Callsfort 45 21 . . .
