Mr. and Mrs. Junius Metcalf de lightfully entertained at a "radio' party at their home Sunday evening for Messrs. and Mesdames LeRo; Whitehead, R. B. Metcalf, E. L Swalberg and J. E. Metcalf. Daint; refreshments were served at tei thirty.- ' Mr. and Mrs. Edd. Jensen and Mi and Mrs. J. E. Metcalf attended ai anniversary birthday party at Manti given in honor of J. C. Mellor. Mrs. H. A. Kearns left for Amer ican Fork the early days of the wee! for a brief visit to her daughter. Mrs. Niel Sorenson entertained a a kensington at her home Thursda; afternoon of last week for member, of the O. N. O. club. Rosen vail, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Jepson Mrs. Hannah Jepson and the hos and hostess. LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Mis. James Bown and her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Howard Norman, were passengers pas-sengers to Delta last Friday and from inere they entrained for Southern South-ern California. They wilL go to Uplands Up-lands and visit with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. P. Norman and before returning will spend some time at Los Angeles and the wintering places along the Pacific coast. Mr .and Mrs. Walter Weihbrecht came down from Salt Lake Saturday and were the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Rosenvall over Sunday. Miss Helen Overfelt and her friend, Miss Etta Noble, both students stu-dents at the Wasatch academy at Mt. Pleasant, spent last Saturday and Sunday as the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Overfelt. Mrs. J. S. Baxter, Miss Mary Baxter, Bax-ter, Glen Baxter and Mrs. Geo. Hog-gan Hog-gan were among those from Gunnison Gunni-son attending the funeral held for Mrs. Susan Heath at Salina Monday afternoon of this week. Chas. Peterson and Paulcs Peterson Peter-son were transacting business at Salina Sa-lina the early days of the week. Mrs. C. W. Perkins spent Monday of this week visiting with her sister, Mrs. J. P. Rasmussen. Magnus Nelson, the Richfield merchant, mer-chant, was a Gunnison visitor Sunday, Sun-day, the guest of Mrs. C. M. Peterson. Peter-son. J. R. Howard and E. E. Paynter, representatives for the Central U. S. Swine company, spent Saturday here in the interests of their company. Mr. and Mrs. Ellon V. Bunderson of Mayfield were made happy last Saturday by the arrival of a fine baby girl at their borne. It is the first born and all at the Bunderson home are doing splendidly. Mrs. Elmer Nielson charmingly entertained at a radio party at her home Monday evening of this week, twelve guests being present. During the evening when the radio program was being enjoyed dainty refreshments refresh-ments were enjoyed. Mrs. A. M. Peterson, who was called to Nephi last week on account of the illness of her mother, Mrs. Jennings, returned to her home Monday Mon-day afternoon. Mrs. Peterson reports re-ports her' mother as being greatly improved. J. W. Nielson of Centerfield was among those spending Monday at Salina Sa-lina looking after business matters. Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Peterson, who have been the guests of relatives in Gunnison for several days past, re- j turned to their home at Drummond, I Idaho, the first of the week. 'j |
