Show Burglar Miller Not Known in Gunnison A lad, giving his name as Harry Miller and claiming Gunnison as his " home, has just received an indetermi-. indetermi-. nate sentence for committing burg-, lary at the state metropolis. The .young man, so far as known, never resided here, and the local officers are of the belief that he was "stalling." "stall-ing." The Tribune of Tuesday says: Hairy Miller and Nick Walker, both 2.0, pleaded guilty Monday to burglary of the Taylor pharmacy, 780 .. South West Temple street, and were ! on their way to the state prison with-1 in less than half a day after the offense of-fense had been committed. Officers S. H. Neve and ' W. H. Madsen found the pair inside the place early Monday morning. Miller, . it is said, had the front door padlock in his pocket, as well as a pair of pliers and 92 pennies taken from the store. The burglary occurred about 1 o'clock in the morning. The officers offi-cers stepped in on them and immediately immedi-ately took them into custody. Both were found behind the counter, and were unarmed. - The young men said they are chums. Miller said the reason he . went in was because he was "broke" and I just wanted to see if there was any money in there." He lives at Gunnison, he said, and wanted to go home. The court observed that he j didn't appear deeply concerned over his dilemma. Walker said he lives at Payson and had had a similar desire. |
