Show Willardson Again ! In Boxing Contest Grant Willardson, a former Gunnison Gunni-son lad and widely known in Utah, has again carved his name in the halls of "scrappers" by adding a big ; victory to his list of winnings. Only a few months ago, Giant stepped in-; to the limelight through his clever, boxing when he won the Pacific fleet title in San Diego. I The latest achievement by Grant was the annexation of the all-navy i welterweight boxing title to his Pa- J cific fleet and ship titles. He won ' his latest tille some two weeks ago ! at the Guananamo bay tournament. The all-navy victory was only won after a gruelling battle with "Fort" Sumpter, champion of the Atlantic fleet. Notwithstanding the decision was close, according to reports, but eveiy fan at the ringside was satis-1 fied. A clipping from a San Diego paper has the following paragraph comment on the scrap: i "The third bout brought the welters welt-ers together, 147 pounds. Grant Wil- i lardson, battle fleet aircraft squad- j nons, stationed on the Langley, met Sumpter of the Concord. Willardson look every round of the bout, being far superior in the clinches. He also was the hardest puncher and forced the fighting all the way.
