Show Agricultural Club Return From Tour "Wonderful," was the gensral expression ex-pression of the boys and the supervisor super-visor of the agricultural club of the Gunnison -Valley high school on their return last Saturday night, after' af-ter' a tour of a week through the northern part of the state. Browned by exposure, but happy in the experience, expe-rience, the lads declared the trip one of ' the most valuable. and interesting they bad ever had. The members of the class traveled in a covered truck, carrying with them bedding and food supplies and an abundance of enthusiasm enthu-siasm and "pep." .. The tour took the boys as far north as Logan and many places of interest were visited. At Logan the class was taken to the large and widely known dairy herds and a lesson les-son in care and milking was gained. The milk condensories, the valuable stock, and the system of manufacturing manufac-turing condensed milk, the U. A. C. were among the sights seen . At Og-den Og-den many of the large manufacturing manufactur-ing concerns were visited and at Salt Lake the state capitol, state prison, the Lagoon, Liberty park, State university uni-versity . and other interesting points were visited. ,'' At Provo the boys were shown through the large steel mills and under un-der the direction o fa guide the method meth-od of converting the iron ore into pig-iron was minutely explained. 7 The state ' mental hospital, where some of the finest and best truck gardening is done, proved an interesting inter-esting feature. At Draper, where successful poultry raising is done, the members of the class gained much information as to successful poultry raising. Not only did the boys have a fine trip, but. they gained much publicity and attracted attention from all quarters.' quar-ters.' The "bunch" had a photograph photo-graph taken and with it was the conveyance con-veyance in which they traveled. The picture appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune of the Monday morning issue is-sue of this week. So successful was the first trip that it is more than likely that it will be made an an- nual" affair.
