Show of November 5, reports that Ranger Cox and wife are rejoicing over the arrival of a new daughter. Ranger Anderson has a crew of men rebuilding a section of the Eph-raim-Orangeville Telephone Line between be-tween Olsen Canyon and Joes Valley. The line is being moved closer to the state road which will make it much easier to follow when trouble occurs. Mr. Forsling, the director of the Great Basin Experiment Station, reports re-ports having noticed the tracks of quite a number of cougar in the vi- j cinity of the experiment station. It j is his opinion that a litter of lion ! whelps are located in that locality, since the tracks are not those of full grown lions at the same time they are too large for bob cats. During the past season we have taken action on eight trespass cases for sheep and seventeen cases where cattle and horses were involved. It is quite likely that reductions in permit per-mit numbers will th; applied in all cases where the trespassers are permittees, per-mittees, unless it can be clearly shown that reasonable precaution had been taken by the owners to keep their unpermitted stock off the Forest. .y. v MANTI NATIONAL .y.
