Peirce gave their fifteenth I wedding anniversary party atthcir elegant new residence on Pleasant etrcet. It proved a signal success. Some fifty invited guests were present; and they were a jolly, good-natured, merry lot. Tho evening "went" delightfully, Mr. and Mr. Peirce making an excellent host and hostess. There was a display of beauty hero, seldom seen in a social gathering. The games were entered into with spirit and the impromptu program passed with an entertaining dash. The yupper was a princely spread, served in true metropolitan style. The delicacies were devoured with a zest only outshown in warmth during the evening, by the proverbial prover-bial good-nature of the genial host himself. Among those who partook of the pleasures of the occasion were: Hon. Lorenzo Snow, Legislature Representative A. H. Snow and wife, Sheriff Loveland and wife. Councilman A. E.
