Show j Society The Presbyterian Missionary Society Soci-ety and the Royal Neighbor's organization, organ-ization, were the hosts of Mrs.. Ira Overfelt yesterday afternoon at a well appointed social gathering. The function was in honor of Mrs. Over-felt's Over-felt's anniversary and as a member of both societies, was the recipient of many beautiful presents in honor of her birthday. The afternoon was spent in a social way. Delicious refreshments re-freshments were served to the twenty twen-ty or more guests. Mrs. S. F. Over-felt Over-felt and Miss Ruth Howell assisted in serving. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Metcalf were host and hostess to the card section of the Social Circle club at their home Wednesday evening. Progressive Progres-sive Five Hundred was played and Mrs. Julius Duggins and Edward Jensen were winners of the prizes. Light refreshments were served. Mrs. Ben Roper delightfully entertained en-tertained a number of her friends at a birthday party last Saturday afternoon. after-noon. After a series of games of Progressive Five Hundred at which Mrs. J. A. Hagan and Miss Jesse Peterson Pet-erson were victors for prizes, a light luncheon was served the guests. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Metcalf delightfully delight-fully entertained sixteen of their friends at a Progressive 500 party last Friday evening. In the contest for the honors Mrs. C. E. Halverson and J. M. Knighton were winners. Mrs. Metcalf served her guests with a delicious luncheon. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Clement and Mr. and Mrs. F. W. McMillen entertained enter-tained a number of friends last Friday Fri-day evening at the Clement home. A delightful evening was spent in playing play-ing "500.," first honors going to Miss Dora Bartain ""and W. J. Gledhill, while the consolation was awarded Mrs. M. Gledhill and Amasa Kenney. At midnight a delicious lunch was served. o Mrs. J. W. Edwards delightfully entertained some twenty guests at her home last Tuesday evening at a dinner party, the occasion being in honor of the anniversary of her son, Clifton Edwards. At 7:30 an elaborate elab-orate dinner was served. Following the dinner cards and dancing were indulged in and a delightful evening was enjoyed by those present. Mrs. E. J. Erickson and Miss lone Edwards Ed-wards assisted in serving. |
