Show KiENDON CELEBRATION. Mention celebrated the Fourth in grand stylo. From A o'clock in tho morning until eight there was a continual whang bang. At 9 o'clock the parade started; it was a grand sight. This ended at the meeting house, where they gave some very nice speeches, songs and recitations. In the afternoon they engaged in base ball, foot races, etc. At night about seven ty-fi ve people engaged in the dance. J. Harper and F. R. Barnard, of Call's Fort,' spent the Fourth with the Mention people. F. |
