Show State Poultrymen Effect Organization With tho organization of the Utah Poultry association, incorporated, effected ef-fected at Salt I-ake City last week by j prominent capitalists and many interested inter-ested in the poultry business throughout through-out tho state, Utah is taking another 'stop towards progression and another mont. The fact that tho stjite organization orga-nization followed, closely upon the organization or-ganization and establishment of the Central Utah Poultry Exchango and the Tri-County Poultry association, including Sanpete, Sevier and Juab counties, speaks volumes for this city and to Gunnison citizens for first launching the movement. At tho Salt Lake meeting, which was attended by Manager Benj. Brown of tho Central Utah Poultry Exchange and others interested in the poultry business in this section, articles of agreement and a constitution constitu-tion and by-laws governing tho organization orga-nization wcro adopted and have been submitted to the various county organizations or-ganizations throughout the state for ratification. Cv'piivs iX tho articles and by-laws have been mailed out and are being acted on this week. Saturday there will be a meeting of the state poultry producers of the state held at the Newhouse hoel at Salt Lake City. Many fanciers and those becoming interested in the raising rais-ing of poultry will attend from Gunnison. Gun-nison. In addition to electing officers for the organization the articles of agreement, together with the constitution consti-tution and by-laws will bo acted on. Many prominent speakers will be present and various topics touching upon the big industry will be disruss-"d. disruss-"d. A tentative program for Saturday's Satur-day's meeting has been ananged as follows: Opening remarks by President : Rergeson. Talks on marketing accomplishments accom-plishments of Ut.-ih Poultry associations associa-tions by association officers. Presi-jdent Presi-jdent R. Niclson will give an exhaustive exhaus-tive address on the conditions before j the organization. "How to Get Together" To-gether" will be the topic handled by W. H. Warner, secretary-treasurer of the Central Utah Poultry Exchange. Bonj. Brown of this city and manager jof the Central Utah Poultry Ex-jchange, Ex-jchange, will give a 15-minutc talk on l"Why simliar organizations should ibe effected statelwide." Reading of the proposed marketing agreement and contract by I. B. Ball. J. F. Burton Bur-ton will give a talk on "Safeguards to the Producers Under Proposed Agreement." Many other vital and important questions and discussions will follow and before adjournment a permanent perman-ent organization and the election of officers will be effected. A luncheon at the Newhouse hotel will be given and it is expected that hundreds of poultrj-men and ;those inter ;ted in. tSie statel-widd movement move-ment will be present at the meeting and banquet. |
