Show GERMANS DISABLE SHIPS. Machinery and Engines of Interned Vessels Damaged. Manila, P. I. It is reported that virtually all the machinery and engines en-gines of the twenty-three German steamers lying in Philippine porta have been damaged by their crews. Seventeen of these vessels are interned in-terned at Manila, three at Oebu and three at Zamboanga. The damage in some cases ts said to have been done thirty-Bix houra before the first report of the break in the relations between the TJnitd States and Germany. The Filipino crews of the steamers here have been discharged. The crews of the steamers steam-ers at Cebu have 'been excluded from the, engine rooms. |
