Sunday, Feb. 17, the Angel of Death visited the home of our respected re-spected eitizt'ii, David Booth, and made desolate his heart and hearth by taking away the spirit of hisbe-loved hisbe-loved wife-Sarah, the companion of his youth and old age. The lost-one lost-one was born March 23, 1820, in Derbyshire, England.the land where they mot and loved, Mrs. Bootli was united with the Mormon church at the early age of twenty one and remained true to the faith to the end. Mr. and Airs. Booth have been citizens of the City of Homes since 1S74, where they have endeared themselves to many and won the esteem and respect of all. The love that young couples bear each other is beautiful, but how much moredivine is that love which endures through the spring, summer sum-mer and autumn, into tin winter of life! Such was the love which existed ex-isted between this good old couple. On pleasant days in spring, when all lovers were wont to take a stroll, the sight of this old couple sauntering saunter-ing along, engrossed in each other's society, was a harbinger of hope to all youthful lovers, that in old age they too might find pleasure and contentment in the love of their V'.'iith. The funeral was held Thursday. Words of s' in pa thy and encouragement encour-agement were expressed lor the .sorrowing husband and mourning friends, and the body was tenderly laid away. |
