Show From Our Soldier Boy Over Intii2 Philippines Fnrt Mills, Philippine Islands, Jan. 12, 1918. Dear Friends: Have just received the gift sent oy the "Mothers of Gunnison" and must say that it was greatly appreciated. Gifts of this kind are very scarce in this territory and is the most useful article that can be made to any soldier. sol-dier. This "comfort kit" was so fully equipped t hat 1 here is nothing a sol dier needs but what is in this packet. I was so pleased to receive it that I cannot even begin to thank you for your kindness. This is a very queer place. There are so many queer things here that it wouid be useless for me to try to tell you of them until we meet again. This climate seems to agree with me perfectly, as I feel just as good or better than I ever did. It is not very hot for I am on the coast, where the winds blow all the time. Thanking you again for your valuable valu-able gift and wishing you every success, suc-cess, also hoping that some day I may pay your organization for this valuable valu-able gift. Respectfully, XI in a Beauregard. |
