Johnson Mortens-en, an aged gentleman eighty-live years old, died here hist week, llu was a faithful member of the Church and always punctual at the Sab-hath Sab-hath afternoon services. Joseph Jensen and Peter Jensen, Jr., have formed a partnership in : (.he sheep business. They have a big flock of wool producers. Two threshing machines have been at work in the valley this week. The hay crop this year will exceed that of any other year in the history of Mantua. Lueem hay pays our sheepmen better money than grain. Settlers arc pleased with the idea of havinga new districtsehool house soon. The Geneva P. O. has not yet been declared open at the Go-op store.
