The members of the Social Circle club delightfully entertained their husbands Sunday evening last at the home of Mrs. Ray B. Metcalf. ' Six tables were played at "500," first prizes going to A. M. Christenson and Mrs. J. H. Salmon. Mrs.T.M. Kearns and 3 ack Salmon were contented with the consolations. The rooms were elaborately decorated for the Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en event, yellow and black being be-ing the color scheme. At midnight each of the guests was served with eoffee, pumpkin pie and doughnuts. Mrs. M. D. Beauregard very pleasantly pleas-antly entertained at a card party Saturday Sat-urday afternoon. The rooms were decorated with chrysanthemums and Hallowe'en devices. Five tables were played, prizes being won by Mrs. J. Salmon and Mrs. J. Christenson. A luncheon was served by the hostess to Mrs. C. M. Madsen, Mrs. J. Christenson, Christen-son, Mrs. LeoN. Gledhill, Mrs. J. A. Hagan, Mrs. J. Salmon, Mrs. C. E. Halverson, Mrs A. M. Chrisl ensor, Mrs. Wm. C. Dack, Mrs. J. M. Knigh- A fire, started from burning weeds swept across the lot and down to the sheds on the place owned by W. J. Gledhill in the southwest part of town on election day.. A load of hay was burned and the sheds totally destroyed before assistance could be rendered. The sophomores and faculty were also present. A short program of a humorous nature in ade an interesting opening to the affair. A number of indoor games were played, play-ed, followed by refreshments and then dancing. The G. A. club spent a pleasant afternoon af-ternoon last Saturday at the home of Mrs. Ida Edwards. Members were present to the number of sixteen besides be-sides three invited guests. Miss Curtis Cur-tis read and fancy sewing was taken up, when the hostess served luncheon during a brief social before separating separat-ing for home.
