Simonsen and enjoyed enjoy-ed a pleasant social in her honor. Mrs. Simonsen had labored as a Relief society so-ciety teacher for about ten years. A substantial present was given the honored guest in appreciation of her faithful labor as a teacher. Seventeen Seven-teen of the sisters took part in the social. Dr. R. C. Swalberg of this city and Miss Randa Christiansen of Center-field Center-field were united in marriage at the Manti temple Wednesday. The new couple will be at home in. this city after next Tuesday. A story that should be of more than ordinary interest, now that a world's war is in progress, is "THE CZAR'S SPY." It Is a story that is full of plots and adventure, of intrigue and underground diplomacy, of strange happenings which occur in Russia, England, Italy, Scotland and Finland. Fin-land. Miss Cora Jepson entertained at a shower for Miss Panda Christiansen of Centerfield last Monday evening. Vocal and instrumental music was a source of entertainment to the girls attending, who were busy sewing. Refreshments were served to the following fol-lowing guests: Susan Swain, Linda Bardsley, Leola Childs, Talula Met-calf, Met-calf, Idell Childs, Jean Winder, Lois Mace, Geneva Edwards, Randa Christiansen. Gladys Bown, Etta Jepson, Cora Jepson. After lunch Miss Christiansen opened her parcels and found among the contents some very pretty presents. A very pleasant time was enjoyed.
