Show CITY COUNCIL.' The'city council held 'forth'fat 'ten o'clock Monday morning in its final session of the old term and completed all necessary transactions. At noon business was taken up un-umler un-umler the new regime, the change in personnel being Anthony Madsen instead in-stead of E. L. Swalbergon thecouncil and C. H. Chllds instead of Nlel Sor-ensnn Sor-ensnn at the recorder's desk. There was of necessity a new lineup of committees effected, viz: Cemetery and Lights Kearns and Metcalf. Streets, Sidewalks and Ditches Roberts and Madsen. . Licenses Bown, Kearns and Mad-' Mad-' sen. Finance Bown and Roberts. ' Appointive offices were dealt out ' as follows, that of marshal being de-' de-' ferred: Board of Health Dr. Hagan, Mav- or Knighton, the marshal .and N. C. Sorenson. Justice of the Peace J., P. Fjeld-sted. Fjeld-sted. Poundkeeper Parley P. Childs. Sexton Erick Wangelin. Surveyor Carl A. Erickson. The council meets in special session ses-sion again tomorrow night to consider consid-er bids for the appointment of marshal mar-shal in which the offices of street supervisor su-pervisor and superintendent of water work are to be merged. |
