Show CENTERFIELD. The ward services last Sunday commemorated com-memorated the birthday event of the Prophet Joseph Smith, the speakers being Joseph Highan, C. P. Larsou and Bishop C. A. Larson of Briggs, Ida. The latter speaker left Centerfold Center-fold ten years ago, settling ia the place named and where he has since become bishop. Bishop Larson is is here to visit relatives-during the noliday, the gust of J.N.Christeusea Sunday evening the Mutuals gave a very profitable Christinas program and the Sunday school program on Christmas day could scarcely have been excelled. The children also en- joyed immensely thealternoou events but the eveuing party was unprofitable unprofit-able financially. The liveliest game of basket ball we have seen played here came off Christmas night, be tween two local fives. Hoodlumism took the upper hand Christmas, several of the boys overturning wigons and leaving a number at various places on the highway. They afterward repented and obeyed the Marshal's orders by replacing whafctbey had taken rather than answer to the court for their misdeeds. Three young men of this place were called to account before the justice of the peace and fined for bo-ing bo-ing drunk on Christmas day. |
