Show CENTERFIELD. Pet. 11. The Democratic rally here Satur-day Satur-day afternoon last had ouly thirty iu attendance. Nominee Thomas, how eve-, made an appreciative speech. Joseph Judd, nominee for state representative accompanied Mr. Thomas from Manti. The funeral of Albert Ockeiman took place Sunday from the Center-field Center-field opera house owned by the deceased. de-ceased. The speakers were Brigharr Jenseu, C. P. Larson and C. H. Em- bley. The father and other relatives of deceased were at the funeral from Beaver and other points in the state. The stormy week has put a stop to potato diggiug for the present. Effective in the ward this week is the resumption of the Wednesday evening preparation meetings for S.S. officers, the priesthood meetings changed from Sunday to Monday eveniug, the Primary association from Wednesday to Friday afternoon, and beginning of Young Men's mutual for the season next Sunday evening. A number of Mrs. C II Embley's friends called at her home yesterday afternoon and enjoyed a good time commemorating Mrs. Embley's fifty second anniversary. |
