Show PUBLIC SCHOOL NOTES. Washington. The baseball season has opened The first game was played Monday afternoou, between Mr. Thompsou's department and that of Mr.Embley's. The score was 5 2 in favor of Mr. Thompson's department. We expected to get only two pictures pic-tures from our recent art exhibit but, from the generous contributions of our patrioctic citizens, this number has been increased to fourteen. Recent visitors to our school, Mrs. 0. Gustaveaon, Mrs. J. A. Larson and Miss Teeplea. Mr. Ho.laday's 3chool will play the winners of Monday's game in the ball park Friday afternoon. Lincoln. The complete report of money received re-ceived from the art exnibit and from the town, ia as follows: Receipts at exhibit, $11.40, of which $11.15 is from the sehool and .25 from the town. By soliciting we received $21.10, for which we thank the contributors. con-tributors. This gave us a total ot 132.50. We have ordered four beautiful pictures. J. A. Tuft selected and paid for one.
