It has been suggested by an old resident that the vacant lot immediately im-mediately south of Heber Smith's place should be reserved for a city , hall. The city in ten Is disposing i of this property shortly. There is no question but that the cily will be forced to build itself a hall at some future time. At present we have none. The almost angelic terms now existing between it and the county cannot last forever. This admirable chain of amity will sooner or later be snapped assunder, so the sooner the city secures a desirable de-sirable site for the future city hall the better. The vacant lot referred refer-red to above would make an admirable admir-able location. A beautiful public building erected here would be centrally, conveniently and handsomely hand-somely located. |
