Show Elder K. Roper Remembered A social was given in the relief ball Wednesday evening in behalf of K. Roper, who is in the mission field. As a result a purse of money a-mounting a-mounting to over $41 will be sent him as a Christmas present from the people peo-ple of Gunnison ward, he being the only missionary out from this place. A goodly crowd was in attendance and was entertained with a mixed program, Bitihop James llismueson in charge. Responses to call for remarks re-marks were by J. H. Mace, M D. Beauregard and Mayor Joseph Christeuson Chris-teuson ; a toast by O I. Easmusson ; solos by E.L. Swalberg, J.M.Kearus, C. E Ferre and Eivina Anderson ; a trio by Gladys and Ethel K9am s iud Edna Gledhill. Picnic was passed as the latter part of the program proceeded and all presant enjoyed a delightful evening while remeuiberiDg Elder Roper in wbose benor as stated the occasion was. Elder Austin Maylield also spoke in his usual humorous vein. |
