(By Harold Clark, th Grade., The winter w inds blow cold and bleak Across the hills and fields, Carefully sweeping the frozen creek, Showing the power it weilds. ; It comes from the far off Northland Swift as a flash ol light; Dead leaves scatter on every hand. Fearing the wind in its might. The winds howl through the trees, j As it goes sweeping by; j And then the children laugh a glee ; As the tinkling sleigh sweeps by. The trees bend low as the wind goes by, Thru the light of the setting sun; I And it sings to us a triumphant song, j After t he day is done. |
