The missionary farewell party given George Peterson last Friday evening was a grand success. It was the largest attended of its kind ever held in CenterSeld. Alfred Fjeldafed had the misfortune Tuesday evening of being kicked oa the head by a yearling colt. The boy's skull was oo badly fractured the the attending physician, Dr. Hagau of Gunnison, took the case for treatment at the hospital iu Siilt Lake yesterday. It is supposed the iu-' iu-' jured boy was iu the act of picking up a Btick with which to drive the colt out of the stackyard, wheu thf animal kicked him- as stated. The case is considered quite serieus. Presidents Aaders-on aud Shomaker of the stake presidency held ward conference here Sunday. They gave timely instruction in addition, to the business transacted. Nephi L. Cot-tara Cot-tara of the Mutual stake board was present also iu the interest of that organization.
