Show OLD FOLKS . ENJOY FEAST, Tenth Reunion Is Com plete Success. Neyur before has the success which attended the old folks' reunion given Friday last in Gunnison been excelled. ex-celled. Nothing but pleasautuesB was eeen from the reception hour all through the day's doings. ;. Badges of ribbon indicating by color the different age divisions from fifty up were piuued to the guests as they entered the hall, those from eighty and over receiving a white . badge with gold inscription. Nearly two hours time was spent in a social way before the tables had been supplied with the abundance of satisfaction. The more elderly were first seated aud the happiness which beamed from the six score of countenances partook of youth's radiance and put back in imagination the hand of time Beveral years. A second Beating was necessary and the tables were not cleared before after 3 o'clock. The orchestra supplied swaet music during the meal aud were applauded at the finiBh of each overture. The program which followed the repast was an enjoyable one, the singing and music being especially line. Speeches from Mrs Emma Kearns and Anthony Metcalf revived some interesting incidents pertaining io the early settlement of the place with evident satisfaction. Dancing followed and a luncheon raa served before separating. The evening was eiven to dancing iu the opera house, luncheon being ei ved on tha stage. Music whs provided for the occasion occas-ion by J. W. Edwards and a number yl musicians not connected with the regular orchestra aud gave good |
