Show Oldest Welshman. The oldest Welshman in the world is Mr. Thomas Morris, who lives at Westernville, Neb. Although he is now an American citizen, he was born a subject of George III, at the little village of Berriew, Montgomeryshire, on January 15, 1794. He is therefore one hundred and twenty years old. His father was an agricultural laborer la-borer and died when the boy was three years old. Morris was apprenticed appren-ticed to a cobbler and followed his trade in this country until 1S71, when, at the age of seventy-seven, he emigrated emi-grated to America. The old man is very proud of the fact that he has lived in three centuries. cen-turies. He remembers the union of 'Great Britain and Ireland, the assassination assassi-nation of President Lincoln and the laying of the first Atlantic cable.
