Show HIGH SCHOOL IN GUNNISON. Middle of September Set For Opening. Joseph Christenson, member of the high school board, states that all arrangements have been completed for beginning the high school- work in Gunnisou this fall, The opening date will probably be September 16, but this will be announced more definite in connection with the faculty roster and courses of study, through printed circulars now in preparation. Two rooms have been secured in the Washington school bnilding. ; Both first and second year work will be taken up, under competent infractors in-fractors and the general supervision of Principal .Robinson of the high school at Manti. Members of the high school board in this district made an inspection Sunday of the rooms in which the classes are to be conducted and are quite satisfied that the accommodations are ade quate for the purpose. To save misunderstanding the board wanta to make public that students attending from any part of the district, outside of walking distance, dist-ance, will be allowed fiv cents per mile transportation, providing a regular reg-ular attendance is maintained a period- of twenty weeks. Students may make their own arrangement and apply the mileage allowance on transportation or in paying for board as they desire. This arrangement will place students comiDg from Centerfield, Mayfield, Fayette, Axtell and all points in the district outside Gunnison Gunni-son city limits on equal basis with those who reside in the oity. |
