Show baa been forwarded to each of the four, missionaries from Center-field Center-field as a Christmas remembrance, a total of 896 from our little waid. A very good showing, indeed. A basketball game Christmas night between Centeriield Btars aud a pickup pick-up team was exceedingly interesting and ended in a tie score of 22. Mrs. A.E. .Wall with her two daughters Ramonaand Ida is visiting here here this Thursday with her sister Mrs. C. H, Einbley. CENTERFIELD. Dec. 26. The beautiful snowstorm which fell Christmas day was most inviting to Santa aud were we not so chuck full of cold we could have much better enjoyed en-joyed the good Christmas weather. Many of our old .residents from other places are visitiog here during the holidays among whom are Charles Bosshardt of Howe Idaho, after .an absence of three years from this place. Joining their father ;oq this visit are Conrad and Johnnie Bosshardt Bossh-ardt of Enterprise. Utah , accompanied accompan-ied by their wives, Marinus Anderson of Salt Lake is spending the holiday vacation with his parents in Centerfield. Mr, Anderson's mother has been quite ill for some time past and is yet confined to ber sick bed. Mr. and. ,Mra, C. H. Embley and daughter Bertha spent Christmas in Sterling with tneir daughter Mra. John Anderson, Mrs. Eda Mast is here from Portland, Port-land, Oregon, at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. E. Olson, and will remain re-main a few weeks. Mrs. Olson herself her-self is at the Holy Cross hospital convalescing con-valescing from a recent successful operation. The Christmas program rendered by the Sunday school of Centerfield at half pist ten o'clock on Wedues-- day was a creditable afiair and thoroughly enjoyed. The oration by Leo Bctdsley was deserving of special mention. The program,, was given in the meetinghouse and at 2 o'clock the children were treated to a dance iu the opera house. Memorial services held in the meetinghouse Sunday to commemorate commemor-ate the birth of the Prophet Joseph Smith was addressed- by Lewis Swensen and O. P. Larson. In the evening similar, sxercises were held by the Mutuals. The two basketball games last Saturday evening went to the Centsr field teams, the Gunnison high school fives both losing, the .girls by a close margin, but Aaron Jonsen of the local team made it altogether too warm for the high school boys.
