Colonel BJank had a little boy five years old, and little Bobby had often beard the men in his father's regiment regi-ment spoken of as "Colonel Blank's men." Bobby's mother heard about it, and was much distressed. Calling the little lit-tle boy to her, she said: "Bobby, you were wrong when you said your father owns his men, and I want you to tell the soldier that you are sorry for what you said." Running to overtake the private, the little boy exclaimed breathlessly: "I'm sorry my father owns you!" |
