Show Of all thing- for which a young person should Riiive, a good character charac-ter stands easily at the head of the list. It may be hard to get on with-! with-! out wealth and education, but without a good character, no permanent and enduring success can be attained. K K R Another forty acre tract has this week been sliced from the Parker farm, Fremont Barnes of Underwood, la., being the purchaser. Mr. Barnes is highly pleased with Gunnison valley val-ley farming distriot and says it is a far better location thau any he has seen during a travel of three summers over various parte of the west. It would seem that Gunnison farmers little realize what they have got. R R K More than a hundred of the farmers far-mers in Gunnison valley district will this season realize from sixty to one hundred dollars per acre on the product pro-duct of a single crop. The resources of this valley as a paying farm district dis-trict have not been fully sen-sed until now when there is an awakening to to the fact that for productiveness the farms of thiB section are plenty good enough without going elsewhere as some have so unwisely done and now regret. R R R Andreas Olson Bhipped a carload of fine plums during the week. Mr. Olson Ol-son is one of the few orohardists in this section who makes the business profitable. This season his orchard has produced some of the finest peaches in the state and thus far he has sold approximately 100 bushels. Considering the fact that peaches have been selling at from $1.50 to $2 per bushel this season it is evident that Mr. Olson's perseverance as a horticulturist is bringing its reward and it is also evident that the Ephraim farming district can be made to bring big returns from other crops besides the routine of wheat, alfalfa, etc. Enterprise. a M a Buy the COAL that burns, from O.
