Show Socialist At Centerfield. The people of Centerfield on Tuesday Tues-day evening were tret-ted to a talk ou Socialism, from State Organizer G. J, Fox of Salt Lake. Tbe meeting took place at the opera house aud were fairly well attended, Walter C. Chris-tensen Chris-tensen taking charge. There was nine of those present who signified allegiance and who remaiued after meeting for instruction iu carrying on the local organization. The speaker handled his subject with considerable warmth, aud was frequently applauded. He asserted that the object of Socialism was the elimination of capital and poverty, while his party Was iu politics not for money but for humanity, The opposite op-posite of this, he contended, is the aim of the two dominant political parties, each being liable to Morgan control and made to answer the capitalists' purpose whichever came in power. |
